Leakgate
Some things are more important than partisan politics. Our country's security is one of them.
In 2003, someone in the administration leaked the identity of Valerie Plame, a CIA agent. Why? She is married to Joe Wilson. Former Ambassador Wilson would not lie to support George W. Bush's Iraq War. Leaking that Valerie Plame was a deep-cover CIA agent destroyed her career - and threatened our national security.
Now it appears that George Bush's closest advisor - the man who designed every one of George Bush's campaigns - leaked the information. Either Bush approved of what his friend was doing - or he doesn't even know what his inner circle is up to. I don't know which worries me more.
I do know this: Endangering our country's security for partisan gain is beyond despicable. It is traitorous.
